As it turns out, :iconyukiminamoto: was not the one to put up that post about a new contest.
In short, her account was hacked. Yuki is currently dealing with some personal issues which, for the sake of her privacy, I will not get into.
This particular contest may still happen, I don't know for certain. I appreciate everyone who took the time to leave their thoughts and comments and the people who were looking forward to doing this, I hope you can understand.
I'd like to offer and official apology, we here at the Mass Effect Club are all volunteers for this job and do it in our spare time. We all have things going on, employment, family, personal pursuits, and the like which sometimes make things run around here in a less than efficient manner. Again, we apologize for this.

No matter, how much bad things they did, in their afterlife everybody was considered as sinners and punished equally. Equal pain and sorrow waited for them after the death. Thy were turning into mindless mass, being the only source of energy that sustained the world order. The right to rule the death belonged only to Thanatos, the Elder God of death, merciless, chaotic creature. He was the one, who filled the river of the death with souls to the rim. As some of you may know, I am in the process of creating a comic called King Of The Currupaw http://sedillio.deviantart.com/art/King-Of-The-Currumpaw-Cover-334525655 It's about the real life tale of a legendary wolf named Lobo, who is the reason that Americans have created wildlife and nature conversations that we still have today! He really was amazing and his story has been told throughout the decades. Summer OC Joint Contest - RulesRules, Acceptable Pairings and Hints:
Rules:
1. Deadline is September 20th, 2012. This means the last full day you can submit without an extension is September 20th by midnight (11:59PM) your time.  Judging will take place shortly after this.
2. As there are a lot of couples this rule is important. Nothing that needs a mature content is allowed. A little passionate kissing is ok but nothing past that (as in no nudity (covered or hinted) or questionable poses between couples). Also no excessive blood, yaoi or gore either. Basically nothing that needs a mature content or close to one.
3. You are allowed to draw the characters by themselves or with their couple partner. This leads to no crack pairings allowed. The only pairings allowed are as follows:

It is Burning ... for several reasons : dramatic ones, ironic ones, philosophical ones, comical ones, etc. Maybe we are the one who set it on fire in order to be able to go on/move on ... Maybe we are burning our past ... maybe it is burning as a consequence of our own wars or maybe because we just didn’t like it anymore, it was ugly or out of style ...

Hey all! Sorry for being late in getting this ready, but welcome to the Holiday Character Design Contest. For those of you who aren't familiar with my webcomic Holiday, here is a link to the site; [link] . Go take a look!

To participate in this contest, create a character for the Holiday universe and give them a freaking sweet back-story.

:snowflake: Guidelines:

:bulletred: The illustration must be a character sheet; front, back, and any details that an artist might require in order to accurately draw your character. This reference must be squeaky clean and clear! Color is preferred, unless your character is monochrome. If monochrome is the case, be as monochrome as you need to be!

An example of a "functioning" character sheet:



:bulletgreen: The character must fit in to a holiday; Christmas, Halloween, Easter, etc.

:bulletred: The character must be based on an icon of their respective holiday, like a food item, an object, or an occasion.

:bulletgreen: Give your character a back story! It doesn't necessarily have to directly relate to Peppermint and Candycane's adventures, but make the character interesting. Also, you don't need to include any pre-existing characters in your sheet. Just your design will do!

:bulletred: You must have a deviantART account in order to participate. I will be sharing this contest on Facebook as well as my website, but deviantART is where I will be organizing the contest.

:bulletgreen: Keep in mind that I am interested in art skill as much as I am in sound character design and interesting personality. That said, all skill levels are welcome to enter!

:bulletred: You may enter more than one character design. If you feel like you have not one but two winning designs, please share! However, I will only be choosing one character design for each winning category.


:snowflake: There are already some characters that have been officially designed, but if you want to re-design a character, feel free!

You and your creation will also be featured on the site and you will be credited in the book in which your design appears as a cameo. You will also receive a free copy of the book in which your design is printed with a feature in the back. (Keep in mind that it is going to be between a half a year and a year for me to print the first book and therefor it may take half a year to a year for you to receive your free copy.)

I had a design and everthing, then my folder with all my drawings got left in San Fran :forevercryplz:

So I've been throwing around a couple ideas and I have a few questions before I commit to producing a design:
a) Can I design a character off of a lesser-celebrated holiday? Like, a lame holiday?
b) Is Black Friday a holiday?

I've already finished a rough planning sheet for one character, and I have a few others in the works<3. I just kind of grabbed a lot of holidays, researched them, and pulled together what I found to knock out a few ideas. They're narrowed, but even if it's just for fun ( say you want me to narrow it or anything like that :P ), I'm definitely abusing that "more than one character" allowance~!

I hope you like at least one of them. If anything, they're amusing ideas. >u<
